School Uniform
We believe that the wearing of uniform encourages our children to have a sense of belonging and of being part of a community. It is an outward expression of our school’s identity and promotes a feeling of pride and equality. Our uniform is an extremely important part of our school. Please can you ensure that your child/children are in correct, full uniform.
Uniform Requirements
Our school uniform is:Â Â Â Â
- Royal blue sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan (preferably with a school logo)
- White shirt or polo shirt
- Acklam Whin tartan pinafore/skirt
- Grey, black, or white socks
- Grey trousers/skirt/pinafore
- Grey or black tights  Â
For summer months:
- Grey shorts
- Blue and white gingham summer dress
Footwear – plain black shoes (not boots) should be worn at all times in school.
Trainers will not be permitted unless in exceptional circumstances and agreed upon with the school.
All children need a labelled pair of wellies for use in the Outdoor Classroom.

Second-hand uniforms can benefit all parents and families.
In addition, by extending the life of garments, we maintain a sustainable approach to uniform at Acklam Whin by ensuring the following are available to our families:
